Coaching

Ordinary life skills which include work place competencies and efficiency are taken for granted by most people.  For some people, being unable to manage day to day tasks, schedule or plan at work or in personal life, can create stress, anxiety leading to:

– A reduction in performance can cause confusion, anxiety and inadequacy.

– An inability to create structure and routine, can cause internal angst and frustration.

– Feeling uninspired, or unable to identify purpose or goals can lead to disillusionment and depression.

– Not knowing how to respond or engage with complex decisions or situations can cause stress and fear.

– Being unable to generate a helpful perspective when overwhelmed by circumstances can cause tension, stress and overwhelm.

All of these examples are where important life and or vocational skills, for whatever reason, have been lost or not developed and result in many adults feeling ashamed or embarrassed by their self judged inadequacy.

Business and life coaching covers almost everything concerning how a person negotiates their life and work situation. Being able to manage life can sometimes mean learning new approaches or skills. It can also reveal how we manage our internal lives, as it is often the case that the two reflect one another.

Coaching begins with a comprehensive examination and evaluation of our life or vocational situation, so that it can be ascertained what is not working and what is required.

Looking at our ‘lives’ in this way, can sometimes reveal hidden beliefs and values, that have kept a person stuck and bewildered for years. It is from this information, that the skills needed can be developed, and or, the hidden internal blocks deconstructed, and so free a person to realise their fullest potential.

It is not unusual in this process that aspects of psychotherapy and or well being are included as tools that can compliment and enhance a clearer picture of the path to be taken.
