I spent over twenty years in the armed forces which included four years at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst working as a Leadership Trainer. During my service I worked in different operational settings, culminating in being awarded a commendation for exceptional valuable service in support of the Division in the former republic of Yugoslavia.  During the last twelve years of my service, I trained as a Counsellor and  paralleled my professional development as a Counsellor whilst still serving in the army.

After leaving the services I attained a BSc Honours Degree in psychology at Surrey University.

I then worked in a number of residential treatment facilities for emotional and psychological disorders, which included the Priory and Prinsted, whilst also working in private practice.

I spent ten years backwards and forwards to the United States of America training and gaining experience in the treatment of trauma and sexual compulsivity.

In 1994 when I first began working as a Counsellor, I spent seven years with Relate as a Marital and Relationship Counsellor and have continued ever since to see couples privately.

Today I work with a wide range of people from all walks of professional and personal life.

My combined experience in leadership, management and psychotherapy has meant that I offer a broad range of facilitation and intervention in assisting individuals and organisations in the process of change and development, of which the limiting difficulties and dynamics are found in interpersonal and intrapersonal challenges.

I see individuals who have had difficulties with obsession, compulsion and other difficulties concerning relationships, sexuality and intimacy.  I have trained and practiced in experiential and somatic methods for the treatment of trauma.

I trained as a Certified Sexual Addictions Therapist under the direction of the International Institute of Treatment and Addiction Professionals, in the diagnosis and treatment of sexual addiction. I now work as an independent professional in the treatment of this condition.

I am regularly involved in working with people who struggle with depression, anxiety, inadequacy, insecurity, obsession, anger, compulsion, bereavement and intimacy difficulties.

I provide mentoring and direction in the cultivation of well being and mindful bacplogoaccredited - memberpresence,  an important dimension when dealing with any form of personal or vocational difficulty.
